Judicial record is the criminal record of a person convicted by a criminal judgment or decision of a judicial agency.
A judicial record is a condition for full civil act capacity according to the provisions of law. When workers have a criminal record proving that they have not violated the law, they have the right to apply for a work permit in Vietnam.
Criminal records of workers can be obtained from judicial agencies in the following countries:
- The country of which the employee is a national
- The country where the worker currently resides before entering Vietnam
- The provincial police authority in Vietnam where the employee is currently residing.
If your criminal record is made abroad, it must be legalized by the Vietnamese consulate before it can be used as an application for a work permit.
If your criminal record is made in Vietnam, use it immediately to apply for a work permit in vietnam. Therefore, if you are in Vietnam, you should make a criminal record in Vietnam at the justice department of your place of residence.
